ArcheAge Chronicles Map: Regions of Auroria

The ArcheAge Chronicles map is Auroria, a rediscovered continent set 50 years after the original ArcheAge. Early Access includes three regions, Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains, with more than 60 areas, about 20 times the size of the demo. The regions hold over 1,000 exploration and collection points.

Auroria at a Glance

Auroria is a rediscovered land, and the story begins with you joining a trading company there. You explore ruins and investigate an airship crash. The setting is 50 years after the original ArcheAge.

Travel is seamless across land, sea and air. You get around by using the terrain, gliders and other transport, and some areas are underwater.

The Three Early Access Regions

Early Access covers most of Diamond Shores, plus Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains. Each region has its own story, side quests, bosses and dungeons. You can play the regions in any order.

XLGAMES designed each region for more than 10 hours of main quests alone. That is over 30 hours across the three, before side content and exploration.

  • Diamond Shores: the starting region, and the one used in the demo
  • Gylden Ruins
  • Astron Plains
  • More regions: planned before the full release

How Big Is the Map?

Inven Global reports more than 60 accessible areas. The Early Access continent is about 20 times the size of the demo. Each zone holds 300 to 400 exploration and collection points, over 1,000 in total.

These points are a major source of EXP and progression items. The leveling guide explains why exploring pays off.

How the Map Works

The map has no quest markers. Some NPCs leave footstep markers where something is worth investigating. Quests appear only when you're near the town or NPC that gives them, and you can start a quest just by stumbling onto a location.

Nui Tears don't appear on the map; a stone icon shows only when you're close. Chests can sit behind waterfalls, and each one opens once per character.

Nui Statues and Fast Travel

Nui Statues are checkpoints and fast-travel points. They are also where you turn in Nui Tears for more maximum HP and refill your utility pouch. You switch between standard and PvP channels at them too.

Unlocking statues as you explore makes later travel much faster. See the PvP guide for how channel switching works.

Diamond Shores Landmarks

These landmarks come from the Diamond Shores demo. Details may change in Early Access, but the region is included.

  • Wayfaring Camp: the starting area, with a vendor selling all four gathering tools
  • Watchtower of Hope: a central reference point
  • Sunken Ruins: northeast of the Watchtower; the Throne of Hinnon key is hidden here
  • Altar of Seals: the Bound Tyrant fight and the Throne of Hinnon door
  • Cliffs of Madness: a pirate fortress in the story

The Glider and Hidden Areas

The glider is earned through quests and can't be bought. It reaches spots you can't walk to, such as the hidden ledge with the Throne of Hinnon key. See the dungeon guide for that route.

Near the end of the Diamond Shores questline in the demo, a restricted gate southeast of the Watchtower of Hope opened. It led to a new southern area with chests, on the way to a city you couldn't yet enter.

Trade Routes Across the Map

Auroria's open world includes trade routes. You move trade goods by wagon or cart to sell in other regions, and allies help defend the route. The trading guide explains the system.

As more regions arrive during Early Access, new routes and areas should follow. We will add them here once they are confirmed.

Exploration Tips

Exploring is the main way to find progression items on this map. These habits help you catch more of the 1,000+ points.

  • Follow footstep hints from NPCs; there are no quest markers
  • Look behind waterfalls and up high for hidden chests
  • Watch for the stone icon that marks a nearby Nui Tear
  • Unlock every Nui Statue for fast travel
  • Dive into underwater areas to gather coral, but watch your stamina, which acts as your breath
  • Come back with the glider to reach ledges you couldn't before
