Quests Beat Exploration, and Both Beat Mobs
Testers agree that most EXP comes from quests, discoveries and points of interest. Monster kills give less. If you normally start an MMO by grinding packs of mobs, that is not the best route here.
Do the main quest and pick up side quests as you pass them. Then detour to anything marked as a point of interest. A skipped quest or an unexplored ruin is worth more than farming a camp of wolves.
How Much Content Each Region Has
XLGAMES designed each region for more than 10 hours of main quests alone, or over 30 hours across the three Early Access regions. Side quests and exploration add more on top. Inven Global reports 300 to 400 exploration and collection points per zone, over 1,000 in total.
The three regions, Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains, each have their own story. Play order is flexible. See the map guide for each region.
Spend Stat Points Every Level
Each level gives stat points, 3 per level in the demo. Place them in Strength, Agility, Constitution, Intelligence, Talent or Endurance right away; unspent points do nothing.
A simple spread is 2 points into your main stat and 1 into Endurance. Strength is the main stat for Warrior and Berserker, Agility suits Ranger, and Intelligence is for Mage. The builds guide explains each stat.
Power Is More Than Your Level
Two progression systems sit outside leveling. Weapon trait points come from Raeven's Coilstones, which bosses guard. Maximum HP comes from Nui Tears, which you turn in at Nui Statues.
Both are found by exploring, which is another reason to leave the main road. The first Nui upgrades are cheap, and later ones cost more. Turning in Nui Tears also gives some experience.
- Levels: stat points
- Raeven's Coilstones: weapon trait points (combos, passives, skills)
- Nui Tears: maximum HP at Nui Statues
- Dungeons and bosses: gear and tempering materials
The PvP Channel EXP Bonus
Killing monsters in a PvP (Conflict) channel gives 10–15% bonus EXP. The trade-off is that anyone outside your party or guild can attack you there. Killing players gives no reward yet.
You switch channels at a Nui Statue, and a cooldown applies. If you are confident in your weapon, the bonus speeds up mob kills. See the PvP guide first.
Group Up for Bosses and Dungeons
Parties hold up to four players, and field bosses are easier with others. Dungeons can be run solo or in a party. They drop strong gear and materials for tempering, which upgrades your equipment.
The demo's hidden Throne of Hinnon dungeon suggested level 8 to 9 or higher and a full party. Our dungeon guide covers the route and the boss.
Everyone Starts Fresh
Demo levels don't carry over, so every player starts at the beginning on November 3, 2026. There is no head start for demo players. XLGAMES says character growth will keep being tuned during Early Access.
If you are brand new, read the beginner guide first. It covers combat basics that make leveling smoother.
Quick Leveling Checklist
Use this checklist as you work through each region. It sums up what testers found most efficient during the demo.
- Follow the main quest and grab side quests on the way
- Visit every point of interest and open every chest
- Spend stat points the moment you level
- Break Coilstones when their boss is within reach
- Turn in Nui Tears at every Nui Statue you pass
- Join a party for field bosses and dungeons
Which Region Should You Level In First?
Diamond Shores is the starting region and the one testers know best from the demo. It is where you buy gathering tools at the Wayfaring Camp and find early landmarks such as the Watchtower of Hope. After that, XLGAMES says the three regions can be played in any order.
Each region has its own story, side quests, bosses and dungeons. If one region's enemies feel too strong, switch to quests in another and come back.
Leveling Mistakes to Avoid
Most slow leveling comes from a few habits that work in other MMORPGs but not here. Avoid these and your EXP per hour improves noticeably.
- Grinding mobs instead of doing quests and points of interest
- Leaving stat points unspent after a level-up
- Skipping Coilstone bosses you could beat, which leaves your weapon's trait tree empty
- Ignoring Nui Statues, so your max HP stays low
- Wearing armor that is too heavy, which raises stamina costs
- Emptying your stamina mid-combo, which leaves you unable to dodge
